Jacksonville City Council Continues to Cherry-Pick Public Events

The people in the neighborhoods that have complained are religious, and the number of complaints have been around forty. Save Rockville, a Facebook site, has been following this since the nightmare began, and was started by Don ("Chickenman")Redman. Banning, or cherry picking events, has been adopted by the City Council, not the people of Jacksonville. The noise report was based on a skewed report that found frogs louder than the concert. This has to do with the violation of first amendment rights, and the draconian belief that rock music is the devil's music. It's interesting to note only select people have complained on the opposite side of the river. There have been no complaints from the side of the river the venue actually takes place.
Noise from the Fl/GA game goes on for a full week. The noise from the Fair goes on for 10 days. No complaints have been reported. Very strange indeed. The Council now wants to build an amphitheater on the Northside for concerts. Metropolitan Park was built for recreational use by and for the people on a garbage dump. The park was set up to accommodate a variety of venues, including concerts. The Council has continuously charged concerts weren't included in that deal.
I've written many letters to Council members, and three have even bothered to write me back. Those letters have been posted on the Rockville site.
Jacksonville cannot compete with the St.Augustine amphitheater. Too little too late. The Jacksonville Beaches have musical venues in the streets all the time and nobody complains about the noise.
I live on the river directly across from Everbank Field. The complainers don't live on the river, except for one. This makes me conclude that all the fuss ain't about noise!
