Sequestration

Sequestration is the act of seizing property until the demands are met.Georgia owes at least 85 million dollars to the government. We are an oligarchy, not a democracy. Our Congress has decided not to decide which loopholes for the wealthy need to be closed to become a solvent economic nation,or which programs need to be cut back that benefits all of us, or just some of us.Congress is responsible for all spending, and has basically refused to pay back money that has already been spent. The Chinese didn't sneak into our financial lives overnight. They were invited into our lives and no boundaries were appropriately set by Congress. We are now ripe for a take over by another country.Just like Italy,Afghanistan, and a myriad of other countries around the globe that are in deep conflict,we have joined those ranks. It would not benefit another country to stop the mechanics of our demise by an all out war. We will simply work for somebody else. They don't need a war.All they need is to hold the purse strings.Subjugation will pass either within our country or outside of our country.

The most vulnerable stage of this whole sequestration exercise is when Congress shuts the government down as early as March 27th.

It is expected that the bickering will continue well into late Spring.

As an owner of three businesses,I've closed one already, postponed a venture, and got out of the stock market.I've watched the markets being manipulated for several years as never before. The internet is a huge problem for our national security, financial systems, and everyday living.I have lost count on the times I've been hacked, lost computers, been scammed, and the losses mount daily. Our Governor hasn't helped with his insistence on electronic payments for state sales tax,our city demands electronic filings of business taxes, and other online payments in the State of Florida.I used to use a credit card online but not anymore.Bankcards are not safe online.I'm still being pursued by so-called creditors that I don't owe any money.Credit reports are a joke for both businesses and citizens.Mistakes are impossible to correct, especially when you are speaking with people in other countries and you live here.
Monitoring systems are another great example of inviting crime into your home. There are actually companies that monitor homes and businesses 24/7,but from OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES!Here's an article that may help in choosing an alarm company,by the BBB.

Okay,I'm done ranting this morning.

I agreed with everything the

I agreed with everything the President said, and when Rubio spoke I wondered if he heard the same speech I'd just heard. The Republicans have been trying to buy the presidency, just as the Industrialists did years ago;I'm referring to the politics of Rockefeller,Ford,Carnigie,Vanderbuilt, and Morgan in the early part of this century. Our modern day clashes are similar to the breakup of Standard Oil,the rise of Unions, the fight over a liveable wage, and the huge national infrastructure projects that were needed after previous wars to bring jobs to the people. We are coming out of two unfunded wars that have crippled this nation. Our President,in the anticipation of our three hundredth year has looked back and found the solutions to bring our nation into the next hierarchy of global relevance. He is a visionary and right on the money. We have seen from this past election, that the smartest is the victor, not the one with the most bucks. Those of you that are Downton Abbey fans are seeing this played out right in front of your eyes. The estate must be self sustaining in the next generation to keep its lifeline alive and prosperous.Just apply that series to our America of today. It has the same issues and solutions.Without change we will become a footman to somebody else.

Gun Control Mania

Here's what is on the books now for gun control:
Under federal law:
• It is illegal and punishable by up to 10 years in prison for the following people to receive, possess, or transport any firearm or ammunition:
someone convicted of or under indictment for a felony punishable by more than one year in prison, someone convicted of a misdemeanor punishable by more than two years in prison, a fugitive from justice, an unlawful user of any controlled substance, someone who has been ruled as mentally defective or has been committed to any mental institution, an illegal alien, someone dishonorably discharged from the military, someone who has renounced his or her U.S. citizenship, someone subject to certain restraining orders, or someone convicted of a domestic violence misdemeanor.[57] [58] [59] [60]
• It is illegal and punishable by up to 10 years in prison to sell or transfer any firearm or ammunition to someone while "knowing" or having "reasonable cause to believe" this person falls into any of the prohibited categories listed above.[61] [62]
• It is illegal to "engage in the business of importing, manufacturing, or dealing in firearms" without a federal license to do so.[63] [64] [65]
• It is illegal for any federally licensed firearms business to sell or transfer any firearm without first conducting a background check to see if the buyer/recipient falls into any of the prohibited categories listed above.[66] [67]
• It is illegal for anyone except a federally licensed firearms business to sell, buy, trade, or transfer a firearm across state lines.[68]
* Under federal law, private individuals are not required to a conduct a background check before selling or transferring a firearm to someone who lives in the same state, but it is illegal and punishable by up to 10 years in prison for a private individual to sell or transfer a firearm while "knowing" or having "reasonable cause to believe" that the recipient falls into one of the prohibited categories above.[69] [70]
* Some states such as California require background checks for all firearms transactions, including those conducted between private individuals.[71] [72] [73]

These are the 23 orders for tweaking gun laws Obama suggests:
1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
5. Propose rule making to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
11. Nominate an ATF director.
12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

Now that you are properly informed, tell me what is wrong with these 23 suggestions? My opinion is that gun dealers aren't following the laws.Gun Shows aren't doing background checks.Criminals break into homes looking specifically for guns.It takes about an hour on the streets of Jacksonville to locate a gun if you want one.People sell guns at garage sales.Guns are a huge money maker on the legit and black markets.
We are again trying to legislate morality.I personally only know legitimate, law abiding gun owners.I do hear gunshots from across the river nightly, will not go into large groups during holidays, and stay away from the woods during hunting season.I am a gun owner and would not hesitate to use it if somebody tried to break into my home. You, like me are not who these laws are targeting.I really do not think any of these laws will work unless you are law abiding. How we identify and get the bad guys is the problem. It's no different in my mind than selling anything to anybody, including your body, drugs,or animals. There will always be prostitutes, drug abusers, and animal abusers. We are the problem, and going to church and praying about it doesn't work.
There are indicators for everything I've written about. If you are not reporting suspicious behaviors, or actively seeking help for these problems, then you are part of the problem.
