Dear City Council,
Besides the abomination across the river we call the Middle Eastern
Toilet Bowl, we've now got Denise Lee screaming lets jail &/or fine
the people that illegally dump! Jacksonville is looking more and more
like the "Hunger Games".
The reason people dump garbage on the sides of roads is simple. It's
too costly for people to drive to recycle, or too far away, or unknown.
The simple solution is to provide BETTER SERVICE to the people. Provide a
dumpster in the areas that need it. Provide more frequent home service
that take more items with less regulation throughout the city. My
garbage men act like prema dona's in a Big Truck pageant. They won't
pick up anything but bagged(ecologically unsound) garbage that doesn't
weigh over 40 pounds. This isn't the same all over the city.
Don Redman has an illegal homeowner's association in his District 4
neighborhood and membership is secret. But we've got chickens out the
wazoo. Pass the Kleenex, please. Here's an article online for you to
read:
"14:54,
27 July 2014 (UTC)Due to the liability,regulations, and local
ordinances surrounding legal HOA's, secret groups of neighbors band
together in older neighborhoods to enforce what they view as distressing
violations of their neighborhood. They interpret local ordinances, and
persecute violators. Much like Zimmerman used a gun
as his enforcer, their main enforcement tactic is secretly stealing
property, gossip, and vandalism. Exclusive membership is not open to
every neighbor, and religion-based criteria for members is usually
present. Their meetings are rarely disclosed to non-members, so they
violate Sunshine Laws.Money is collected voluntarily, with no visible
accounting, or use of legal escrow accounts are visible. Voluntary dues
pay for religious events like the appearance of Santa, or the Easter
Bunny. Luminary packages are often sold with no declaration of the
purpose of the money. There is a mixture of business models with the
most closely copied model being non-profit, and political. The
separation of church and state is violated due to the political nature
of these illegal associations.Non-members in a neighborhood are
ostracized, penalized, and hopefully forced out of the neighborhood.
The remedy is to find out who the members are, and get an injunction
against their activities, and sue."
Redman is on notice now. This illegal association that's not, came from
complaints about neighbors speaking for those of us that don't believe
the same as a very small, but vocal group. You may read about this vocal
group in The Resident Magazine, May 2013. Its legal team is made up of
Don Redman,Mary Beth Picket,Erik Kaldor,Gary Ulrich,Mark
Ottenbourg,Beth Pavlicberry(Association
head-bpavlicberry@mindspring.com). They interpret ordinances, damage
property, and watch for violations by cell-phone walkers. Mini
"Zimmermans" without guns, and no legal ground to stand on. I always
sign my correspondence, but the association that isn't, doesn't; and I
do have proof.I am more concerned
about the light pollution from Everbank Field then the noise on the
river. I'm glad I'm not an epileptic, but may have neighbors that are!
Matt Schellenberg referred to the pools at Everbank Field as
decorative fountains at his last meeting. I guess he finally read the
small print about the liabilities surrounding public pools, or just
refuses to believe they are really there. We have public pools, but not
in this context.
Lori Boyer got all "hot-n'-bothered" about tennis courts in San Marco,
but just now addressed the undrinkable water in her district. And the list of complaints go on.
Regards,
Renee Soforenko
