Mr.Ford did the right thing and protected himself and other students.
The choke hold used didn't make the teenager pass out; it controlled
him.The teenager didn't make a trip to the ER,was never treated for any
physical damage, and should be expelled. If I had a student in this crazy
kid's class I'd not send my child to school until this little monster
was expelled. There's not much time left in this school year that ends
June 7th. There sure is plenty of time for this predator to make the
rest of the year a nightmare for teachers and peers.
I'd love to know the GPA of this nutcase.I am sick of hearing about
these privileged pariahs being babied. He's a 14 year old destroyer of
the academic excellence and civility necessary for his classmates to
learn.I agree with all posts in favor of putting discipline back in our
teachers' hands. Years ago, if a student misbehaved, you went and got the
teacher next door who watched you deliver corporal punishment, or took
the disruptor to the principal for a paddling while either you, the
teacher watched, or the principal watched while you did the
paddling. There was a "three swat limit" for elementary children. The
second student offense resulted in suspension.A third, usually expulsion
unless the student had parents that gave generously to the school, or
were properly connected. This smacks of the latter.
